God is the source of all life. The devil by his very nature, being eternally severed from God, destroys life.

• Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith... (1 Peter 5:8-9 NKJV
• "You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning..." (John 8:44 NKJV
• There is a generation whose teeth are like swords, and whose fangs are like knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men... (Prov 30:14 NKJV)
• ...if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another! (Gal 5:15 NKJV)

• A lion doesn't kill indiscriminately, nor merely because it's his nature; but only when it suits his purpose, and when he thinks he has a reasonable chance of success with minimal resistance.
• The devil was the first to prefer choice rather than life. He has been preaching the same message ever since.
• You don't blame a lion for killing, but you still take every measure available to protect your family.
